Who am I?

My name is Stephen Prior, and I have been a writer for about five years now, ever since I was young I remember always having an interest in science fiction and fantasy, some of the earliest influences in my childhood were the classics like Star Trek and Star Wars, and always being fascinated with anything to do with space.

Willow was one of the earliest fantasy movies to light the spark, I have always enjoyed reading books and started collecting old science fiction and fantasy books, some of my favourite stories are War of the Worlds and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, also Day of the Triffids and Twenty thousand leagues under the Sea, as well as The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, the Legend of Tal, along with many other fantasy and science fiction films, books and stories.

I have tried many times through the years to attempt to write my own story, but nothing ever seemed to quite come together, many times I've written and deleted pages, with either the story or the characters not quite going together right, but several years ago after meeting my partner, I had a spark of an idea almost from a dream, of a character and an idea of his journey and adventures, and it grew and expanded from there, until my idea of portal world adventures came together, from one character where it started, to a whole universe of worlds and creatures, my partner was extremely supportive and encouraged me to write my ideas down in story, and eventually publish it as Hunting Laqana, it has been an incredible journey, and a huge learning curve trying to put my imagination down on paper, I have felt very lucky to have someone by my side to support me and help me, and to bounce ideas around with, and I am now currently working on my next books in the continuing collection, the next being Rise of the Phoenix Queen, and expanding my idea of portal world adventures universe.
